The National Youth Leader of the ruling APC, Hon. Dayo Israel, has boasted of the readiness of the party’s youth wing to ‘usher Asiwaju Bola Tinubu into Aso Rock’ as the country’s next leader by delivering on its pledge of 50 million votes.

This was as he inaugurated the APC National Youth Wing Campaign Council at the Umaru Musa Yaradua Hall in Kaduna State on Friday.

Israel, who was adorned in a military-style uniform as the Wing Marshal of the Jagaban’s Army, one of the directorates of the Council, criticized other political parties in his welcome remarks for paying lip service to youth representation and inter-generational balance despite doing little, particularly less than the APC, to bring the ideal to life.

He recounted Tinubu’s beneficial contributions to youth development and equitable representation as a political actor, including the appointment and provision of support for the likes of Babatunde Raji Fashola, Femi Gbajabiamila, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to make their entry into politics and governance as youths before their elevation as heads of government.

“Peter Obi said he is the candidate of the youth. Yet every time he has had the chance to do so, including the recent appointment of his campaign DG, he has overlooked young people and settled for the same PDP old foxes who run the country into the ground. He couldn’t even beat the record of the last person who ran on the same party platform who made youth the point man of his campaign,” he said.

“Who can point to any successful mentee of Obi in politics or business? Or a discernible structure of youth representation within his party across the country, similar to what we have in the APC?”

“Their supposed support for young people is mere lip service. It lacks substance and does not reflect the obvious reality. The APC is the true party of Nigeria’s youths. We are battalions, and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is a bridge-builder who will lead an inter-generational government that will unleash the potential of young people in this country. He has done it before and he will do it again.”

Israel was joined by prominent political figures and youth stakeholders within and outside the APC as he inaugurated the Council and rolled out a series of initiatives and programmes, including the ‘Deliver Your Street’ campaign, Canvassers’ Record Sheet, and the APC Youth Wing’s official mobile app.

Sani Dattijo, former Chief of Staff to Governor Nasir El-Rufai who is running to represent Kaduna Central in the Senate, Hon. Nurudeen Hassan Bello Janara, the SA on Youth to Governor El-Rufai, and Bello Dambazau were some of the dignitaries who led the unveilings.

The inaugurated Council is made up of directorates such as the Jagaban Army which will oversee grassroots mobilization as carried out by foot soldiers; the Jagaban Airforce which is responsible for securing the media airwaves and ensuring the dominance of our party in the media, particularly digital media; BAT’s Envoy which is responsible for public affairs.

Explaining the importance of the unveiled Canvassers’ Record Sheet, Israel said it was a data-gathering tool to be deployed by the Wing’s foot soldiers during their grassroots engagement exercise across the country.

The sheet contains fields such as the personal details of the potential voter and their voting records. It also mandates the party representative to record the state of the voters after the encounter, whether they were successfully persuaded to offer their votes to the party.

The gathered data will be analyzed and mined for insights which will in turn shape the campaign, making it a data-driven effort, he said.

The Council has over 200,000 members, including the statutory officers of the APC Youth Wing spanning the Deputy National Youth Leader, six Zonal Youth Leaders, 37 State Youth Leaders and their deputies, 774 LGA Youth Leaders and their deputies, over 8000 Ward Youth Leaders and their deputies, and over 170,000 Polling Unit Leaders and their deputies.

Many of the statutory officers were present at the event, each swearing an oath to deliver their domains and contribute to the poll success of the party next month.

The re-election campaign trail of Osun Central Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, on Monday, visited Otan-Ayegbaju and Eripa, in Boluwaduro Local Government Area.

The lawmaker by tradition sought royal blessings from the Owa of Otan- Ayegbaju, Oba Lukman Ojo Fadipe Arenibiowo III and the Eleripa of Eripa Land HRM Oba Samuel Oyediran Akinsowon II.

They both attested to the credibility, integrity and quality representation of the Senator at the upper chamber of the National Assembly, with due patronage to the town and the palace.

Senator Basiru, while addressing party leaders and members in Otan-Ayegbaju and Eripa, thanked them for their steadfastness and support to the progress of the party in their domain.

He, therefore, enjoined them to vote for all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections, from the President to those bidding to represent them at the State House of Assembly.

“We have come to thank you for your unwavering support. The leadership of the party is grateful to all party members here for their steadfastness and commitment to the cause of the party. I can assure you that we will not let you down. Our representation so far at the Senate has seen to myriads of programmes and dividends of democracy, that we have facilitated across the ten local governments of Osun Central Senatorial District.

“Please, tell our lovers and supporters. We are development oriented and passionate about the progress of our people. Don’t let us be swayed by sentiments or moneybag politicians. They have nothing to offer. We have shown you what we can do and by the grace of God, we will do more if re-elected on February 25.”

On the campaign trail were Hon. Obawale Adebisi, Hon. Femi Popoola, Hon. Badamasi Olatunde Taofeek, party leaders and members from Boluwaduro and Osogbo local government areas.

Mr President has had busy schedules for couples of months now and have not been able to personally attend Presidential rallies in some states so far covered.

The Uyo APC Presidential rally will be an opportunity for the APC to register its readiness to take over Akwa Ibom State as the governing party.

The rally will also afford Akwa Ibomites a window to affirm their determination to return the APC to power at the centre by ensuring that Bola Ahmed Tinubu is voted to become Nigeria’s next President.

The venue for the rally is Unity Park along Sir Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

APC National Youth Leader Donates N2Million to Lagos APC Youth Wing

-promises to continue to push for more support for the party’s youth wing

The National Youth Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress Hon Dayo Israel has donated a sum of N2 million to the Youth Wing of Lagos State chapter of the APC.

The donation was made at an official town hall meeting he had with the Youth Leaders from State to Ward level across Lagos State.

This followed a similar gesture by the National Youth Leader to all youth leaders in Bayelsa state last week.

While responding to request by the youth leaders to help them lobby for running cost, the National Youth Leader encouraged them with his personal experience that he can feel their pain because even as the National Youth Leader, his office has no running cost, imprest or a budget, he has to source for funds internally and externally.

He promised to continue to push for more support for the youth wing of the party from top to bottom to motivate the youth even as the country heads to the general election.

APC National Youth Leader donates millions to Lagos Wing, charges members to make bold statement in Tinubu’s home state

The National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Dayo Israel has donated millions to the Lagos chapter of the youth wing in mobilisation support at an end-of-the-year town hall meeting and celebratory party with the leaders and members of the lagos chapter of the wing.

Israel, who also hails from Lagos and served on the state’s education board before his elevation to the office of the National Youth Leader, hosted LG and Ward Youth Leaders to a party with thousands of other party members in attendance on Wednesday, Dec 28, before an end-of-the-year town hall meeting on December 31st where he highlighted some of his key achievements since his emergence as the party’s National Youth Leader.

At the town hall meeting which held at the Freedom Park on Saturday, Dec 31st, he recounted how he has utilized his office to offer platforms and opportunities to other young politicians, including Lagos stakeholders some of whom were appointed to serve on state and national campaign committees as well as lead other important party assignments.

While presenting his donation totaling millions to the Ward, Local Government, Senatorial, and State youth leaders in Lagos, Israel said the financial support was to raise enthusiasm and foreground the willingness of the party’s national leadership to offer required support to facilitate a youth-led triumph at the polls.

He announced that similar donation have been made to other State/Senatorial/LG/Ward Youth Leaders in other states like bayelsa etc.

“As the home of the City Boy, our leader and presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, we must ready ourselves to make a bold and clear statement at the polls in 2023 with the numbers that will come out of Lagos in favor of our party,” Israel said at the event.

“Some people with Pyrrhic popularity that begins and ends in their online echo chambers are making the false claim that they own the youths. But you and I know that this is false. More so in Lagos where Asiwaju’s good works and enduring legacy have for long made him the favorite choice of young Nigerians interested in the progress of the country.”

“So we must make that point clear at the polls. We will not cede an inch to anybody. We will knock on every door, visit every community, and expand our political support base. This is the task we must fulfill so our principal can enjoy a clear victory, driven by young people who, truth be told, have been the primary beneficiaries of his visionary leadership and long investments in education and social development.”

Israel assured members of the Lagos Wing that the national leadership of the party’s youth wing which he heads is making concerted efforts to raise funds and send support to all its various chapters and affiliate groups across the nation.

He noted the commencement of the Wing’s first-ever Christmas support fund which has seen him disburse funds to the zonal and state leadership of the party, while drawing commitments for the APC National Youth Wing Campaign Council which was recently announced.

Illegal Mining: Governor Adeleke Disbands Mining JTF, Orders Reconstitution

In his drive to clean up the solid mineral sector, Governor Ademola Adeleke has ordered the immediate disbandment of the state’s Mining Joint Taskforce (JTF).

The existing JTF is consequently directed to hand over all government vehicles and documents in their possession to the Solid Minerals Committee.

As a follow up to the disbandment, the State Governor has further issued instruction for the reconstitution of the JTF.

The State Governor had two weeks ago announced far reaching reform of the solid mineral sector which include stopping unauthorised mining, addressing challenges of mining related environmental degradation and ensuring Osun state get her due return from the sector.

Governor Adeleke had also set up a Solid Mineral Committee to look into activities of stakeholders within the sector with a view to put an end to revenue leakages, unauthorised appropriation of solid minerals and tackling increasing criminal activities around the mining communities.

” I consequently direct the Chairman of the Solid Mineral Committee to take neccesary steps to ensure seamless transition from the old to the new JTF. The new team when constituted must operate with utmost professionalism with zero tolerance for misconduct”, Governor Adeleke directed.

Breaking: APC Constitute Youth Wing Campaign Council For Tinubu/Shettima 2023

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the formation of the National Youth Wing Campaign Council.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the National Youth Leader of the party, Hon Dayo Israel on Wednesday.

He said the formation which is in line with the autonomy of the Youth Wing as guaranteed by the party’s constitution in article 12.20, was done after due consultation with the National Leadership and other critical stakeholders, including the Zonal Youth Leaders, State Youth Leaders, and other youth representatives of the party.

“It is with great pleasure that I announce the APC National Youth Wing Campaign Council. The formation of the council follows due consultation with the National Leadership of our party and other critical stakeholders, including the Zonal Youth Leaders, State Youth Leaders, and other youth representatives of our great party. It is also in line with the autonomy of the Youth Wing as guaranteed by the party’s constitution in article 12.20.

Importantly, too, it is a fulfilment of my obligation as the National Youth Leader of the party and the head of its Youth Wing. Indeed, article 14.22 of the party’s constitution clearly entrusts the mobilisation of the youth for the attainment of party objectives, including electoral victory, to the National Youth Leader.

As would any responsible leader, I appreciate the precious importance of this obligation and am fully prepared to meet it as our party makes its case to Nigerians across the country in various elective positions including the presidency where Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is, fortunately and admirably, flying the party’s flag.

The Council will serve as the implementation committee of the APC National Youth Wing Masterplan which outlines strategies and tactics developed to give the party a total and youth-driven victory in 2023. The master plan received the endorsement of our leader and presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, back in August when it was submitted to him by the leadership of the Wing.

The Council hopes to collaborate with other relevant campaign structures and organs to ensure our party’s poll success. That notwithstanding, stakeholders interested in engaging the official structure of the party’s Youth Wing are strongly advised to channel all communications through the office of the National Youth Leader and the Chairperson of the APC Youth Wing.

I congratulate members of the Council, all of whom have been selected in recognition of their devotion to the party, grassroots network, and the essential need to offer them a platform to demonstrate their capacity. Service on the Council is voluntary, and members, comprising party youths and other important youth stakeholders across sectors, will serve in various sub-units such as the Jagaban’s ‘Army’, Asiwaju’s ‘Airforce’, and BAT’s ‘Envoy’.

Our soldiers in the Jagaban Army will lead grassroots door-to-door mobilization exercise; captains in Asiwaju Airforce will dominate the airwaves and coordinate media activities; ambassadors in BAT’s Envoy will coordinate and manage public relations.

I encourage all called upon to serve to do so with diligence and strong commitment, bearing in mind the enormity of the responsibility they have been entrusted with and its special significance to the victory and future of our party and country.”
